Brief
The goal here was to redesign the US currency, the current US Dollar is massively outdated in its design. We were supposed to concept a design based on personal interests. I wanted to think about this currency in the context of our modern age but also give homage to artists and designers who are well known in their industries.

Results
I started off by selecting 3 artists and 3 graphic designers. The artists I selected are Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat, and Banksy. The Designers I chose Paul Rand, George Odom, and Paula Scher. After that, I conceived a currency that has technology built into it. First, there is the chip on the money which is encrypted so with 128-bit encryption so that it’s not easily counterfeited. Secondly, the money is made of made from a synthetic polymer such as biaxially oriented polypropylene to ensure durability, polymer banknotes last significantly longer than it’s paper relatives. The resulting currency is vibrant, it represents the technology age, and stands as an iconic representation of some of our greatest artists and designers.
