The Brief
We met with the president of the university and talked with her about what the holidays meant to her, color palette, etc. I immediately knew that I wanted to make a card that represented the university but also captured the school spirit in the process while tying in the feeling of being on campus during the holiday season. I chose landmarks around campus that the president had a personal connection with and began drawing.

For the people who know the Montana State University campus well, we have The Norm Abjornson Hall, The New Residents Hall, Montana Hall, Romney Hall, Jake Jabs Hall, and finally The Noodle with Barnard Hall in the background. These MSU landmarks are important because they are all landmarks that President Cruisado herself had a hand in getting built and/or renovating. I was extremely happy with the final output and never thought I would have as much fun as I did design and drawing architecture as I did, I even managed to hide some tiny M’s in the snowflakes amongst the snow.
