This card game design came out of an assignment where we were supposed to create a board game from scratch. We were creating a game that at the time we called “Jungle Run” until we found out that there was already an IOS game of the same name. My job was to design a set of cards based on six categories that we decided upon in our initial discussions about how the game was going to be played and what mechanics we needed each character needed to progress throughout the game.
The creation of these cards was a very itterative process. I designed the base set and then we all sat down and give notes as to changes that needed to be made and then I went back and made changes based on notes several times until we landed on this final set of cards. I love working with teams and collaborating so this process of itterating a set of designs and molding a design into a final polished version is what I’m about at the end of the day.
